Attic24 sampler blanket, part 7.

 Today's stripes feature two stripes that we have seen before, the cosy stripe and the meadow stripe.


When it has been a busy week, I always enjoy some nice, relaxing crochet; soothing stitches that find their own rhythm and don't take a lot of brain power. The heatwave ended this week in a night of thunderstorms and lightning! We also had a lovely day out shopping to Glasgow, which unfortunately ended with a ride home in a tow truck. So if you're needing to sit down, relax, and get stuck into some crochet as much as I was, here are is the next set of rows.

Row 85: Switch to meadow, chain 3 (counts as first tc), tc in each stitch to end.

Row 86: Repeat row 85.

Row 87: Switch to citron, chain 3 (counts as first tc), tc in same stich, *skip two stitches, 3 tc in next stitch*, repeat until two stitches remain, skip next stitch, tc in last stitch.

Row 88: Chain 3 (counts as first tc), you are now working in the spaces between clusters, tc in first space (between the final cluster of 3 and the lone tc), *3tc in next space*, repeat to end, tc in final stitch (the top of the chain 3 from the previous row).

Row 89: Switch to copper, repeat row 85.

Row 90: Repeat row 85.

Row 91: Switch to claret, repeat row 87.

Row 92: Repeat row 88.

Row 93: Switch to clematis, repeat row 85.

Row 94: Repeat row 85.

Row 95: Switch to magenta, chain 3 (counts as first tc), tc in next stitch, *skip next stitch, tc in next stitch, tc in skipped stitch, crossed treble made*, repeat until two stitches remain, tc in each of last two stitches.

Row 96: Repeat row 95.

Row 97: Switch to sherbet, repeat row 95.

Row 98: Repeat row 95.

Row 99: Switch to cypress, repeat row 95.

Row 100: Repeat row 95.

Row 101: Switch to toy, repeat row 95.

Row 102: Chain 3 (counts as first tc), tc in each stitch to end.

So there you have it! Over 100 rows done, and the blanket is about two thirds of its final length. I wish you a week where the sunshine and showers lead to rainbows, and that is free from tow trucks. xx

Ps.. unless you're the lovely tow truck driver who made sure we got safely home to our front door, then I simply wish you and your tow truck the safest of travels. xx

So today's post will cover rows 27-44. It sounds like a lot, but there's only one new stitch to learn, and it's a nice relaxing one! So here goes... Row 27: If you're following my colour order, switch to blush. Chain 3 (counts as first treble crochet), tc in each stitch to end. Row 28: This is the first 'crossed trebles' row, also known as the meadow stitch. Attic24 Sampler Blanket, Part 8.

I begin today with a huuuuge apology to anyone who has been following along! As I know this post is rather delayed. I've had a flare up of an old injury, so I've been following up with doctors, waiting on scans, and getting used to new medication. As ever, crochet has been my comfort and my therapy, keeping me sane. I think often of the Proverbs 31 woman, who "selects wool and flax and works with eager hands". We continue now with row 103, a ripple set up row.. Switch to shrimp. Chain 2 (counts as first htc), work *htc, tc, tc, dtc, dtc, tc, tc, htc, htc^, dc, dc, dc, dc, htc*, repeat from *-* until end, ending final repeat at ^.  Row 104: Switch to pomegranate. Sampler Blanket Part 1

I'm Natalie, and for the ten years or so that I've been crocheting, it's been both my happy place and my therapy. I'm a huge fan of crochet bloggers such as Lucy of Attic24, and Heather of the Patchwork Heart. I love to gift and donate handmade items, and I also have an Etsy where you can purchase my work ( NatalieMcCrochet on Etsy ). My latest finished project was the Seaside Stashbusting Blanket, by Coastal Crochet.  And this has inspired my current WIP (work in progress 😊 - got to love a bit of crochet slang 😂) my Attic24 sampler blanket. So this is my first attempt at designing something like this, and at writing up a pattern that makes sense to anyone but me!
